I am not a WOman, Who cares!!!

Woman- the most beautiful creation of God yet the most suffering soul on the earth. I wish its not true but it is unfortunately.

Let me just ask you a simple question- What comes to your grown up mind at first instance when you hear the word woman- Pretty, Sexy, Smart, so good looking, so beautiful.... that's it!! But what if I ask you if you too wanna be the same, huh? I don't think your reply would be affirmative. In-fact what's the big deal in not being a woman or just be the way you are.

Some of you may wish to look genuinely beautiful like them or have those beautiful eyes or whatever. But can you merely imagine what a woman wants?? Is she herself happy to be the way she is or not. But who cares!!

In-fact the creator of all of us wouldn't have to make any kinda judgement on how the life should actually look like for the two faces he created- a man and a woman. And what he couldn't create was the RESPECT she utterly deserves. But who cares!!

Even if talk about stats only, India, despite having world's largest democracy, is the second unsafe place for a woman even before places like Saudi Arab, Iraq etc etc. The pace with which our technology is developing, the same pace is followed by crimes against woman and that too in a rising way. But who cares!!

My point here is not that what's the big deal in being a woman or not. But being a woman in India really sucks. And yes it does, thanks only to our Indian men. But who cares!!

But I do apologize that I am not a woman because she deserves better;
I do apologize because a Politician can overstep your honor with mere few words;
And of-course I do apologize because this cheap society has made her life even bitter.
And no matter you care about this or not. I really do feel that there is a need to re-think about a life which God always wanted her to be in and a life which she is supposed to have as well even if you are NOT A WOMAN.

Will you marry a RAPED girl ???

Hasshhhh.... It looks like a shocker at first instance when we read the title of this post. I mean for a common guy like we are, it seems of no relevance. Doesn't it???

Daughter, the most beautiful creation of God especially for a mother when she holds her little arms in her palm when she enters her life dreaming at that time only for giving her all that would be possible in her limits.
But as the time passes away, a fear starts arising in her mind not of whether she will be an engineer or a doctor but of something that our mean brain can't even imagine of- The way she would be welcomed by this mean world of 21st century....

What's so strange in it?? That's what you all might be thinking as this is fear of every parent for his/her child. But strange is not of the fear for a daughter but of the way this world has started treating her. There are many incidents now a days of her being brutalized, sacked in dark, raped and finally left to die.

But life gets worst on her being raped. Even a girl being harmed by a knife for years wouldn't give her as much pain as one incident of such kind gives her for so many years she was supposed to live happily.An accused being caught and punished say for life imprisonment- That's it. Do we think her nightmare ends here only, Absolutely not. :(

In-fact worse come to her after that. Our so called BEAUTIFUL society treats her more brutally than the rapist himself. My words seems harsh but that's the bitter truth indeed.
She goes for studies- receives harsh words from mates
She goes for job- gets rejected being considered as part of minority;
She goes on streets- gets blamed for the incident that broke her completely

And finally when She feels to enter new phase of her life(Marriage)- undoubtedly she is again made realize that her painful nightmare was in-fact her own mistake only and nothing else, and a guy wouldn't hesitate saying these words to her no matter such words went in like a sharp knife attack to her feelings.

Don't you think there needs to be a change. Do we need to bring our humanity rise above all for all. We are not the system to punish that accused by law, we are not the police who can arrest the accused and we are no where near giving justice for that brutal crime for her- And that's what comes to our mind.

But but why do we forget we are humans. A human created by one GOD with same brains, same heart. Then where is the feel, the HUMANITY??
We cant save her unless that criminal confronts us. But we can hold her, give her a life she deserves to have and make her rise above all odds, can't we???

And that's what my thought of today is. Have a look at this video of Indian thinking and you will realize what the need of hour is....

Where should She Go then :@

So many incidents and so many talks over those incidents. Police is doing arrests as assigned, Media is showing the news details, Officials are showing their concern and Law is supposed to just waiting to see the Crime to be proved COMPLETELY as expected. And where does She go, She is just suffering as always.

But what's our role in all this. We are just taking a sip of tea in the morning reading the newspaper and sharing our views with family, friends (being the critics of India by nature). It's been a long we to be saying that more than a guy, she and even her family is responsible for the crimes against her.

But wake up friends, Just read this:

"The tiny village of Karta in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, woke up on Wednesday morning to the chilling sight of two teen girls hanging from a tree in an orchard. The girls, cousins aged 14 and 15, had gone missing from home the night before.

A post-mortem has confirmed that they were raped and died from hanging. Their families allege that they were first brutally gang-raped by four men of the village and then hanged. They also alleged that for many hours after the girls went missing the local police refused to register a first information report. Full story here- Cousins Gangraped and Hanged in UP "

We, the Indian Critics, claim that she goes to pubs, late night parties and gets abducted. But shockingly in this case, the only guilt those two cousins did was just to go to toilet as there are none in the place of Badaun, UP they lived in.

I just hope that such bastards get punished ASAP and more importantly people realize now who the real culprit always was, is and will be if anything like this happens with her.

Apps made for HER- NIRBHAYA: BE FEARLESS

There has been lots of talk about what should be done and what not to be done when it comes to safety of the daughter of our country. People (the natural critics) leave no chance for aiming the freedom of women more for the incidents happened in the past. But they have no time to look into themselves for how they deal with her. Nevertheless few people are there in our country who are selflessly worried for her and have even injected their career skills for the safety of women, no matter the law had already provided someone(commonly known as police) for this purpose.

Nirbhaya: Be Fearless©" An App that can be used in any type of emergency to
protect women, children and your near & dear ones using a "Single" click Distress signal.

My search for more safety measures will keep on going until and unless my India is completely safe and secure especially for HER.

'SILENT SCREAMS' Awarded at International Platform

A documentary film about politics of rape in India has bagged three awards at the 2014 New York Festivals International TV and Film Awards.
“Silent Screams — India’s Fight Against Rape” directed by Pria Somiah and written by Manira A. Pinto won a Gold World Medal for ‘Best Investigative Report’ as well as two Bronze Gold Medals each in the ‘Current Affairs’ and ‘Human Concerns’ sections respectively.
The film follows journalist Namita Bhandare as she meets rape survivors, law-makers and enforcers, activists and lawyers to understand the politics of rape and the plight of victims in their fight for justice.
The trigger for the documentary, produced by Miditech for Channel NewsAsia was the brutal gangrape of a 23-year-old in Delhi on December 16, 2012 and the subsequent rising up of people across the country to express shock and outrage.
In exclusive interviews, Nirbhaya’s parents and brother describe her last few days, repeat achingly sad conversations and demand justice for her brutal and unnecessary death. The film also investigates the case of a 15-year-old Dalit girl.
It also looks at the role of the judiciary and the police in the case that came to be known as the ‘Kolkatta Park Street case’.
Director, Pria Somiah, said, “The survivors we met in the making of the film were not weak or frightened women. They were brave, strong-willed and determined women and girls who wanted justice.”
“They wanted their families and the community to shift the shame to the perpetrator. They wanted the conversation to change over who is to blame for rape. We wanted the film to document what has come to become an important milestone in the women’s movement not just in India but the world over,” she added.
Scriptwriter Manira A. Pinto said that it was an honour to script “Silent Screams”.
“Nirbhaya’s story is a universal story, just as rape is, which is why it sparked a nation’s conscience and made the world sit up and take note of it,” she said.
The film has already won the Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union - Perspective Award 2013, in Hanoi. It has been screened at the Mumbai Women’s International Film Festival 2013, Mountain Echo’s Festival in Bhutan and distributed across colleges, NGOs and legal aid organisations across the world.
New York Festivals International TV and Film awards, currently in its 57th year received entries from over 50 countries over a variety of categories. The jury chose winners amidst competition from 700 entries. (Source: thehindu.com)
